8. Winter - August 4-10, 2013

Okay, the theme I named this week was winter. Interesting fact. July and August are the only two months when it has never snowed somewhere in the state of Minnesota. With odds like that I figure we need to be ready at any time (as eventually it will probably snow in July and August as well). This is a simple self portrait. The shot features me, a bunch of my cold weather gear and a snow shovel. I figure the lake behind me could freeze over at any moment. Wind chill, snow, blizzard, ice-fishing, ugh. Oh, and once the snow falls it will likely be here until early May.

Yes, even in California we play winter sports. I was going for the look Byron had on our first WPOTM (car).
I just tracked the player (through dirty glass), using an 800 ISO Sensitivity, with no flash.
Should I have used lower than 800 to create more of a look of speed, or would it have been too hard to keep the player in focus?

It was a great set. Lil' BluElvis sang "Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo" and followed it with "Frankenstein"
