Online security is a big problem. No matter how much you try to secure your computer, some sneaky thief can break through and steal your information.
This photo was shot at ISO 400, 32mm, f/4.8 at 1/25 second.

I have given up a few foods over the course of the summer and fall, in order to return to my ideal weight range. I know that range is really skinny for a lot of people, but for me the extra 10+ pounds I put on last year went straight to my belly. That's what happens when you get older. I lost the weight and returned to my "normal" range by giving up most soft drinks, many snacks like potato chips, and all candy. So things like jelly beans are locked away now. That was my inspiration for this week's theme.
This was a studio shot, captured yesterday. The candy, jar, padlock and chain are on a curved white plexiglass surface. There are three studio strobe lights illuminating the scene. Two to light the plexiglass (one from below and one from behind), and one to light the jar and beans from the upper left front. My 24-70mm Nikkor was used at 70mm. The exposure was f/11 at 1/250th of a second (the flash synch speed on my Nikon D3s). Tripod mounted, the ISO was 200.

What you're looking at is a Red-eared Slider Turtle. As you know, when they feel threatened they can retract their head into the security of their shell.
Red-eared sliders do not produce saliva, so they must eat their food in the water.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were revealed to be specimens of the red-eared slider.
No turtles were harmed in the shooting of this photograph.

The sordid details: 1/20 sec at f4.8, 33mm (14.0-45.0 mm lens), ISO 400, lighting from one incandescent and one fluorescent bulb(below and to one side), and a file folder that worked rather not well at all as a reflector. Still, this was fun and for some reason I really like the image.
